Artist's Statement

"If I were to define my style of painting, I would call it 'Textured abstract art‘
The abstract expressionist Mark Rothko had the opinion "that a painting must be something miraculous‘'.
In this sense I love to present the viewer an image that is the start of a journey with his eyes. The viewer should be able to discover the canvas to see the details and create his own story.
My style is playing with light and shadow, a mix of colors and different surfaces and a sense of minimalism. My forms appear and disappear and merge into each other. I love to allow the colors to flow and give the images different textures to create ups and downs. During the painting process I enjoy the silence and love using the tools in my hands to design something new that reflects a part of me and makes others to join me on this journey.“
